Harding University welcomes new faculty

Harding University welcomed 25 new faculty members to campus for the 2019-20 school year at the annual presession faculty and staff dinner Aug. 13.

Brackett Library

Alyssa Eller, print resources librarian, holds a B.A. in English from Harding University.

College of Allied Health

Jordan Balbin, lecturer for the college in the athletic training program, holds a B.S. in athletic training from Harding University.

Reed Harrell, assistant professor of exercise and sport sciences, holds a B.S. in athletic training and DPT from Harding University.

Timothy Weaver, lecturer for the college in exercise science, holds a B.S. in athletic training from Harding University.

Eric Colgrove, instructor in the music department, holds a B.A. in music education from Harding University and an M.M. with an emphasis in conducting from Colorado State University.

College of Arts and Humanities

Noah Darnell, instructor for the Department of Communication, holds a B.A. in print journalism from Harding University and an M.A. in documentary photography and photojournalism from the University of Westminster.

Tessa Davidson, assistant professor of art, holds an M.Ed. from Harding University, an M.A. in art history from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock and an MFA from New Hampshire Institute of Art.

April Fatula, instructor for the Department of Communication, holds a B.A. in print journalism and Spanish from Harding University.

College of Bible and Ministry

Aaron Bailey, visiting missionary in the Center for World Missions, holds a B.A. in Bible and missions and an M.A. in missions from Abilene Christian University.

Jeremy Daggett, missionary in Peru and director of Harding University in Latin America, holds a B.A. in missions and Spanish from Harding University and an M.Div. from the Harding School of Theology.

Jason Darden, instructor, holds a degree in kinesiology from Harding University and an M.Th. from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Alan Howell, visiting professor of missions, holds an M.Div. from Harding School of Theology.

College of Business Administration

Chris Barker, assistant professor of finance, holds a BBA in accounting from Harding University and an M.A. in history and MBA from Middle Tennessee State University.

Karen Corker, assistant professor of accounting, holds a BBA in accounting and an M.S. in accounting from Harding University.

Dr. David Johnson, professor of finance and economics, holds a BBA in accounting and a B.A. in Bible from Harding University. He earned his MBA from the University of Memphis and his Ph.D. in finance from the University of Cincinnati.

Jessica McCumpsey, instructor of marketing, holds a BBA in marketing and an MBA from Harding University.

Jon Wood, assistant professor of marketing, holds a B.S. in chemistry from Harding University, an M.S. in organic chemistry from the University of Alabama and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas.

College of Education

Dr. Darren Matthews, assistant professor of education, holds a B.A. in biology, an M.Ed. and an Ed.D. from Harding University.

College of Nursing

Elizabeth Thomason, assistant professor, holds an M.S. in Nursing from Arkansas State University.

College of Sciences

Becky Bennett, lecturer for the biology department, holds a B.S. in biology from Freed Hardeman and an M.Ed. from Harding University.

John Boone, health sciences librarian, holds a B.A. in economics, an MBA and an M.Ed. from Harding University. He also holds an MSIS from the University of Tennessee.

Will Waldron, instructor of physics, holds a B.S. in physics and mathematics from Harding University and an M.S. in physics from the University of Alabama Huntsville.

Harding University in Greece

Meagan Adams, instructor, holds a BBA in accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University, a B.A. in music from Harding University and an M.S. in taxation from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

International Programs

Audra Pleasant, executive director of the international programs, holds an MBA from Harding University.

Darla Phillips, instructor, holds a B.S. in secondary math education from the University of Oklahoma and received an M.Ed. and M.S. in counseling from Harding University.
