This month's featured snake is the Mulga Snake. This snake is commonly known as the king brown, or mulga, snake and is one of the longest venomous snakes found in the world. Mulga snakes can grow up to 10 feet in length and can weigh over 13 pounds. Mulga snakes range in color from light brown to black, and has a wide head and a smooth snout. An interesting fact about mulga snakes is that they deliver venom in large doses: the average tiger snake produces around 10-40 mg in one bite, while the mulga snake may deliver 150 mg in one bite.
