Petit Jean State Park is an icon in Arkansas, one that has welcomed travelors over the decades. Petit Jean Mountain inspired
Arkansas's first state park, and with it our state park system.
Buildings of log and stone are scattered around the park, giving it a rustic feel. The historic Mather Lodge sits
on the edge of a bluff overlooking a forested valley, giving visitors a wonderful view of the terrain upon arrival.
There are also 32 cabins and 127 camp sites available for visitors to stay in.
